The role

What I do there.

I work at a 2D game studioName withheld that makes real-money casino games, which online casinos then offer on their own sites. I led frontend game development for two and a half years, and since November 2025 I have worked mostly on the Java backend: the servers behind the games.

  • Adding 200+ games from a partner.

I was the main developer connecting a games aggregator, a company that supplies games from many studios, to our platform. It added over 200 games to the catalogue.

  • The servers behind every game.

Java services that start a game, track each player's balance and keep their session running, plus careful database changes on a live system where real money moves.

  • The developer console.

A shared toolkit every game is built on, which I took from idea to production. Making a new game went from two or three months of work to two weeks.

  • 120 frames per second.

The games used to run at 50 to 60 frames per second. I tuned how they draw and load their graphics until they ran at a steady 120 on high-refresh screens, in every major browser.

  • Back-office tools.

Internal tools, built in Vue 3, that help the operations team run the platform.

  • Leading the team.

Weekly code reviews for the frontend team, reviews for the six-person backend team, better automated testing, and mentoring two developers.

Try it

Game feel, in your hands.

A player decides how a game feels in the first spin. Easing, timing and a few small tricks make the difference between a spin that feels dead and one that feels good. These reels always land on the same odds; only the feel changes. Spin on Flat, then on Juicy.

Games

The kinds of games I build.

  • Slots.

Video slots with spinning reels, winning lines, free spins, bonus rounds and big-win celebrations.

  • Scratch cards.

Instant scratch games. Several share one engine, each with its own look.

  • Crash games.

Live games where a multiplier climbs until it crashes, and players cash out before it does.

  • Instant-win games.

Short arcade-style rounds: one bet, one instant result.

This is employer work, so the code and the games stay private. This page describes my work, not the product.
